Abstract
A rapid setting cement particularly useful for sealing leaks in fuel containers, pipes, and the like, comprises a metal powder and a solution of a cellulose derivative, with the addition of a rapidly evaporating organic compound such as ether or ligroin, the quantity of metal powder being about 20 to 30 per cent of the whole. Examples are given of compositions comprising (1) aluminium powder, nitro cellulose, butyl acetate, and ether, and (2) aluminium powder, ethyl cellulose, benzol, and ether.ALSO:A rapid setting cement particularly useful for sealing leaks in fuel containers, pipes, and the like, comprises a metal powder and a solution of a cellulose derivative, with the addition of a rapidly evaporating organic compound such as ether or ligroin, the quantity of metal powder being about 20 to 30 per cent of the whole.
