A refrigerant composition consists of monochloromonofluoromethane and dichlorotetrafluoroethane, and contains 30 to 80% by weight of the former. The boiling point of such mixtures at atmospheric pressure is about - 12 C. The " dichlorotetrafluoroethane " may be either isomer or a mixture.
