425,097. Sliding doors and windows. ALDAM, E. H., Britannic Works, Haslemere Avenue, Wandsworth, London. Oct. 25, 1934, No. 30601. [Class 20 (iii)] A suspending means for sliding doors, windows, partitions, &c., comprises a slidable carrier moving within an oil-bath constituted by an overhead track. In the form shown in Fig. 2, a channel-section guide a secured to the wall or framing x has closed ends to form an oil-bath and runway for a hollow metal carrier c adjustably secured, by a bolt d, to the door &c. z. A cover-plate e and felt or like strips f, f may be fitted as shown. The bearing part of the carrier b may be formed with grooves b<1> and/or perforations b<2>. The portion b of the carrier may be of rectangular section, and may be formed separately from the bracket-portion c. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which the carrier c is fitted with rollers g, the guide a being supported by brackets h.
