[Class 20 (iii).] Sliding doors, windows, and the like are provided with trough-shaped guides a, the side walls of which are grooved to form races for ball bearings b positioned by sliding cages and adapted to engage complemental ball races d<1> in runners d to which the door or window is adjustably fixed by screws g and slotted fittings f. The door or window is thus suspended in a plane parallel to the guide. For rising and falling windows or screens, two sets of guides and ball bearings are used, one on each side.
