424,309. Sheet delivery apparatus. SOKAL, S., 1, Great James Street, Bedford Row, London.-(Maschinenfabrik Augsburg- Nurnberg Akt.-Ges ; 7, Stadtbachstrasse, Augsburg, Germany) March 8, 1934, No. 7462. [Class 100 (i)] Sheet-delivery apparatus for printing- machines comprises chain-grippers 4 which carry each sheet over the pile 11, bands 7 which are unwound from a travelling roller 9 so as to support the sheet above the pile, and nozzles 12 which direct currents of air on to the sheet and cause it to remain stationary on the bands 7 after it has been released from the grippers. The bands 7 are subsequently wound up on the roller 9 to deposit the sheet on the pile in the well-known manner. Each band is tensioned by a spring 8 and is made of electrically-conductive material, such as steel, and earthed.
