Abstract

424,237. Gas burners. STECK, E. H., 214, Barnsley Road, Sheffield. March 17, 1934, No. 8472. [Class 75 (i)] A gas burner for furnaces comprises primary and secondary air injectors 18, 20 and 26 mounted adjustably in lateral flanges 21, 28 on the body 22 between a gas nozzle 16 and a mixing chamber 32, the part 18 of the primary air injector being adjustably screwed on the part 20 and adapted to be moved over the gas nozzle 16 so as to prevent the entry of air and thereby constitute an auxiliary gas nozzle. The part 20 is secured by a set screw in the flange 21 and the injector 26 is screwed in the flange 28. The milled manipulating flanges 23, 29 of the parts 18, 26 are provided with pointers 24, 30 co-operating with fixed graduated rods 25, 31 for indicating the positions of adjustment.
