Abstract

424,218. Curtain rail brackets. CLAY, A., and WICKER, J. C., 21, St. Paul's Square, Birmingham. Sept. 16, 1933, No. 25655. [Class 52 (v)] A dust - shield 9 is supported in front of a curtain rail 7 by a projecting arm 4<a> carrying a lever 11 pivoted at 10 and adapted to grip the projection 9<a> at the rear of the dust shield between it and the end of the arm 4<a>, the lever being turned and maintained in the gripping position by separate actuating means such as a second lever 12 pivoted on the arm 4<a> and having a cam 12<a> acting on the rear end of the lever 11. The arm 4<a> is provided with a part 4<c> of right-angled shape to fit over and be secured to the box end of the curtain rail bracket 6. A depending vertical part 4<d> at the front of the arm abuts the rear face of the dust shield 9. The lever 11 and the end of the arm are cut away to accommodate the projection 9<a> and the pivot pin 10 is mounted in upstanding flanges 4b on the arm one of which has a slot 4f through which passes the lever 12 provided with an actuating portion 12b.
