389,325. Stair-carpet fasteners. SMITH & DAVIS, Ltd. and SMITH, H. F., Hampton Street, Birmingham. June 9, 1932, No. 16265. [Class 52 (v).] In a staircarpet holder of the kind in which a length of metal two - doubled to form a pair of spaced parallel arms one of which slidably engages a guide 1 &c., secured to the stairs, the arm 6 has a longitudinal slot 8 so that the other arm'5 can be bent, along its centre line 10, to fit neatly into the angle of the stairs. The edges of the arm 6 have notches 14 which co-operate with the guide 1, which is in the form of an angle bracket with bent over edges 3, to prevent accidental removal of the holder. The open end of the slot 8 may be closed by an attached plate.
