423,652. Carding-engines. AKT.-GES. J. J. RIETER & CIE, Klosterstrasse, Winterthur, Switzerland. June 15, 1934, No. 17790. Convention date, June 17, 1933. [Class 120 (i)] A device for adjusting carding-engine flats, wherein the flats are carried on bends, the supporting points of which can be adjusted singly, or else jointly by means of a control disc, is characterized by the supporting rods engaging with one of their ends the card bend, their other ends being mounted with slight lateral play in the control disc in the direction of chords thereof. The rods are preferably mounted on the control disc in ball-shaped bearings against which abut nuts on a screwed portion of the rod for individual adjustment. Adjustment of the control disc is effected by screw means. The bends 1 are supported by rods 2 which are mounted by ball-shaped bearings in the control disc 3. The rods 2 are adjusted individually by the nuts on either side of the bearing, or they are adjusted conjointly by rotating the disc 3 by adjusting the screws 7 carried in a bracket 5 attached to the control disc.
