423,581. Prepayment mechanism for meters. KIRKEWHITE METERS, Ltd., and GOLDSPINK, G. E., Abbey Works, Archer Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. April 10, 1934, No. 7286/33. [Class 27] Coin action, mechanical connection, with delivery proportionate to value of coin.-In meter prepayment mechanism in which a coin in a rotary pocket J selectively engages according to its size a pair of quantity wheels A, B having different operative connection with quantity mechanism F, the positioning of the coin so that it engages the appropriate quantity wheel is effected by a sliding member K situated in the coin pocket. The slide is spring loaded, and carries cross pins K<1>, K<2> engaging cam slots J<1>, J<2> in the sides of the pocket, so that, in conjunction with a rib O on the casing, it locates the smaller coin in the position M to engage wheel A, and the large coin in the position N to engage the wheel B. Specification 335,000, [Class 27], is referred to.
