[Class 80 (i)] [See also Group XXVI] A flexible gear member 28<b> is provided with a journal or bearing 28<c> engaging a bearing or journal 26 on a flexible supporting member 24 whereby the journal and bearing deflect in opposite directions under load without disturbing the alignment of the gear teeth and supporting member axis. The member 24 may be in the form of a spider carried by a propellor shaft 20 and supporting planetary gear members 28 engaging a fixed sun wheel 36 and a driving gear 40 secured to the engine shaft 14. The gear 40 may carry a balance weight 42 when a radial cylinder engine is employed.
