Divided out of 422,412. [Class 100 (ii)] In an inking-device for printing-rollers comprising an inking-roller resiliently urged against a fixed stop member so located with respect to the printing-roller that upon rotation of the latter the inking-roller operatively engages type matter thereon, but clears such portions of its surface as do not contain type matter, the inking-roller is located so that it is also urged against the fixed stop member by gravity. The parts 20 of the printing- roller 3 are inked by a set of rollers 21, 22, 23, carried by arms 24, pivoted at 25 and urged downwardly by a spring 24a and by gravity so that the inking-roller 23 abuts against a stop 24b. The roller 22 is urged into contact with rollers 21, 23 by a spring 25<a>. The housing 1<a> for the inking-rollers may be pivoted at 25 to permit access to the rollers for renewing the ink supply.
