Abstract
A fuse wire incorporated in an incandescent lamp, electric arc discharge lamp, rectifier, &c., is composed of a brass containing 0,25-8 per cent of aluminium, e.g. 67 per cent of copper, 32 per cent of zinc, and 1 per cent of aluminium. This has a higher resistance, is non-oxidizable, and melts rapidly. British Specifications 8861/92, [Class 82], 156,300, and 308,647, [both in Class 82 (i)], and U.S.A. Specification 1,851,140 are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the use of such fuse wire in lamp-holders and in general. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
