Abstract

420,827. Sanitary closets. GUNN, G. H., Ormilie Lodge, Thurso, Caithness. June 8, 1933, No. 16438. [Class 26] A closet pan, particularly for use in conjunction with a sewage disposal system such as that described in Specification 420,826, presents a cavity which curves inwardly and upwardly from the bottom. The pan provides a vertical drop into the digestion-chamber of the sewagedisposal system, is provided with an air-duct 4 extending substantially around the pan and communicating with the atmosphere at 6, 7, and with the interior of the pan by openings 5 which are preferably tangential, and is further provided with a gas-outlet 9 communicating with vent-pipes 10, 12 supported by a stool 11. A further gas-outlet 15 communicates with the pipe 12, and a water-spray may be provided near the rim.
