Abstract
420,268. Speed governors. BERGMANN, H., 8, Goslarer Platz, Charlottenburg, Berlin. March 22, 1934. No. 9030. Convention date, March 22, 1933. [Class 57] A speed governor for an internal combustion-engine comprises a disc valve a pivoted to a hollow spindle b projecting into the induction pipe f<1>. The valve a is biassed by an adjustable spring c and the spindle b is driven by a pulley e, or other means, by the engine. As the speed increases the valve a tends to close under the action of centrifugal force. The induction pipe is provided with a rib i located in the plane of the valve when the latter is closed.
