Abstract

419,889. Storage bins. MITCHELL, F. G., Albyns, near Romford, Essex. June 9, 1933, No. 16594. [Class 20 (i).] The side walls of a bunker for granular material are provided externally or internally with one or more bays which serve to promote the flow of the material from the surface to the discharge outlet. As shown in Fig. 2, the bunker b has sloping bottom walls c<1> leading to the discharge opening d, which is situated at the base of a vertically-extending channel or bay a open to the interior of the bunker. The channel a may project from the bunker as shown diagrammatically in plan in Fig. 3, or may be formed interiorly. thereof by two inwardly projecting walls.
