419,536. Grinding and polishing cutlery. WALTERS, B., and DOBSON, W. M., 57, Bailey Street, Sheffield. May 19, 1933, No. 14498. [Class 60.] A cutlery grinding, polishing, or glazing machine comprises a frame 6 carrying two parallel guides 7 adjustable vertically by screws 8 and each carrying a slide 9 on which is mounted a blade-holder 10. The slides are reciprocated lengthways of the blades by adjustable cranks 12, 14, 15 and connecting- rods 13, driven through worm gearing from a shaft 17, and the blades are operated upon by grinding &c. wheels 11, carried one at each end of a shaft 22 mounted in bearings on a slide 20. The slide 20 is reciprocated in a direction parallel to the axis of the shaft 22, and perpendicular to the direction of reciprocation of the slides 9 by means of an adjustable throw crank disc 24 carried by the shaft 17 and a lever 25, 26 pivoted at 27 on a bracket 18 carrying the slide 20.
