Abstract
419,250. Lamps combined with coat &c. stands. PIVOLUX, 81, Avenue de BoissÚjour, Clermont Ferrand, Puy-de-Dome, France. April 3, 1934, No. 10100. Convention date, April 19, 1933. [Class 75 (iii).] A coat and umbrella &c. stand is rotatably mounted on a vertical axis and provided with transparent or translucent advertising &c. surfaces illuminated from within. A central stationary vertical tube 1 is supported on a tripod 2 and carries by ball bearings 11, 39 an outer tube 29 to which coat hooks 33 are secured by brackets 31. A trough 21 at the lower end of the tube 29 supports umbrellas &c. which rest against a band 20 carried by curved bars 19 that are fixed to a ring 18 secured to the tube 29 and extended to a lower polygonal ring 25 forming a truncated pyramid the faces of which are filled by transparent or translucent coloured plates 26 illuminated by a lamp 8. At its upper end the tube 29 carries an inverted conical casing 36 with curved transparent panels 44 bearing advertisements &c. and illuminated by a lamp 46. A shade 55 deflects downwardly light from the lamp 46 and a transparent or translucent bowl 53 is carried by a plate 54 above the casing 36 and illuminated by a lamp 51.
