[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 18, 1934.] [Class 145 (ii).] Boards forming the core of a composite panel are temporarily held together during the application of the surface veneers by wires, rods or the like 1 provided with nuts 2 or like tightening means and lodged in grooves sawn in the ends of the boards. Slow-setting adhesive may be used to unite the boards ; alternatively no adhesive is used. The grooved ends of the completed panel are sawn off.
