Abstract
418,021. Corsets and like garments. MALMSTEAD, L. I., 151, Vernon Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.A. June 15, 1933, No. 17136. Convention date, June 25, 1932. [Class 141.] A corset or like foundation garment is provided at the front with a piece 12 of fabric elastic only in a vertical direction and adapted to cover the diaphragm, and with a similar piece of elastic fabric 18 at the lower rear part of the garment. The width of the piece 12 is, preferably, greatest at or about the level of the waistline. Elastic shoulder straps 22 are connected at the front of the garment to a lining member 23, Fig. 4, by means of inelastic loop members 20. A V-shaped portion of ordinary elastic is provided at the lower front part of the garment. Specification 399,591 is referred to.
