441,875. Corsets ; combination undergarments. SEEL, W. M. A. MOLYNEUX-, 49, Boulevard du Montparnasse, Paris. July 26, 1934, No. 21928. [Class 141] A corset made from a single piece of material 1 cut on the bias, and joined by a seam 3 at the back, is provided with shoulder straps 10, 101, and with rear and side suspenders 12 121 and 13, 131, respectively, which are positioned in such a manner that the pull from the point of attachment of the suspenders is transferred by means of the warp and weft threads across the front of the body to the shoulder straps. The corset is reinforced by means of bands 5, 6, which are joined at their area of intersection F, and at their ends 7, 8. A reinforcement 16 is provided at the back of the corset to take the strain of the suspenders. The side suspenders 13, 13<1> may have two or more points of attachment to the garment, or the side and back suspenders may be mounted on a single or two pieces of elastic suspended from points at the back and at the side of the garment. The corset may be combined with a brassiere, and may comprise a leg piece extension to form knickers integral therewith.
