Abstract
417,058. Spring clips. SUSSEX GLASS BEVELLING CO., Ltd., 46, Old Steine, Brighton, and PAGE, G., 17, Worcester Villas, West Hove, both in Sussex. March 24, 1933, No. 8944. [Class 44.] A holder for show cards, menus, &c. comprises a hollow base 10 within which is fixed a spindle 11 carrying a clip or card holder 15 that extends upwards through an aperture in the upper surface of the base. The clip holds two sheets of glass 17 with the card &c. between them. The spindle 11 is secured to the base by bolts 12 and nuts 13 and the lower parts of the jaws 15 of the clip engage the spindle and are held thereon by two cylindrical springs 14. Finger grips 16 extending from the jaws enable them to be opened. The clip may be positively secured in a number of different positions on the spindle by providing the engaging surfaces with longitudinal notches. Strips 18 of sponge rubber are provided on the jaws to prevent rocking of the glass sheets, which may be of different shapes.
