Abstract
416,289. Supports for electric incandescent lamp filaments. STAUB, E., 10, Chamerstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. April 19, 1934, No. 11780. [Class 39 (ii).] The filament holders and current connectors of an incandescent electric lamp are mounted on an insulating plate or like member by mechanical means i.e. means other than fusing or welding. The insulating member is supported from the pinch by a number of suspension rods, some of which may act as current conductors. As shown in Fig. 1 a mica disc d supported from the foot h by a rod k, carries supports b for the filament and lead-in wires a provided with ferrules f pressed into contact with the current conductors g. The supports b and the leads a are cut out as a metal blank joined by a strip j, as shown in Fig. 2. When the members a and b have been assembled on the disc, the strip is removed. More than one filament holder may be supported by the pair of leads g, the separate filaments being disposed parallel to each other at different heights.
