Abstract
416,279. Preventing dimming of windows. HARDMEIER, H., Rorschach, Switzerland. March 19, 1934, No. 8570. [Class 20 (iii).] The jets 15 by which a forced-air draught is delivered over the surface of the shop or other window 19 are continuously moved so that the whole window is swept by the current. The tube 12 on which the jets are adjustably secured is oscillated in the socket 2<a> by the link 10, crank 9, and gearing 6, 7, driven by worm 3 on the fan motor. The air heating circuit 13 is in series with the motor circuit and closed by a switch 16. The sweep of the jets may be altered by adjusting the crank pin. The device may be enclosed in a casing displaying advertising matter. The jets may be continuously rotated by a toothed wheel surrounding the pipe 12 if the device is mounted in the centre of the window.
