Abstract
416,183. Ladders. IRVINE, J., 8, Cowdenhill Road, Drumchapel, Dumbartonshire. Aug. 30, 1933, No. 24005. [Class 20 (ii).] A loft ladder of the kind which is adapted to assume an inclined position in use and an upright position when not in use has a door 5 hinged to one side so that it may be covered when in the upright position, the door standing out at right-angles to the ladder to serve as a banister when the ladder is being used. The ladder is interconnected with a trap door 12 by a rope 8 whereby the floor opening is opened and closed by the movements of the ladder.
