415,988. Sewing - machines. FAIRWEATHER, W. C., 65, Chancery Lane, London.-(Singer Manufacturing Co. ; Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Nov. 21, 1933, No. 14109/34. Divided on 416,619. [Class 112.] The invention consists in improvements in vibratory needle stitching-machines with a reversible and adjustable feed mechanism. The feed regulating and reversing mechanism is described in Specification 415,987. The needlevibrating mechanism is described in Specification 416,619. Co-operating with the needle 20 is a loop-taker 69 which receives the bobbin case 70. To accommodate co-operation with the needle 20 in different paths of the latter, the loop-taker is rotatable in a vertical plane parallel to the plane of lateral vibration of the needle. A spiral driven gear 75 carried by the loop-taker shaft engages a spiral driving gear 76 carried by an end of horizontal loop-taker actuating shaft 77 disposed below and transversely of the loop-taker shaft 69. At its other end, the shaft 77 carries a belt pulley for connection by a belt to the main shaft driving pulley.
