Abstract

415,587. Receiving - devices for doors &c. NORTHCOTT, H., 15, Birkbeck Avenue, North Acton, London. Aug. 30, 1933, No. 23990. [Class 18.] A bottle receiver comprises a receptacle 11 for a bottle and means, such as serrated flaps 20 normally closing an aperture 18 in a door &c. 13 to which the receiver is fitted, and readily displaceable against spring influence 21 by insertion of a bottle end-foremost, through the aperture in said door &c., into the receptacle. The receptacle may comprise a supported fabric bag or wire structure, with internal leaf springs, hingedly attached to the door &c. and capable of occupying both vertical and horizontal positions by manipulation from inside the door &c. or by a lever which extends to the outside of the door &c. Two receptacles may be fitted side by side, with a flap between which may be moved to predetermine into which receptacle the bottle shall be received. A locking device for the flaps 20, or a clapper and bell, operated by the weight of the inserted bottle, may be fitted. An indicating device, for the quantity of milk &c. required, may be incorporated in an outside closing flap for the aperture.
