Abstract

414,275. Packages. LOESCH, M., 130, Zwickauer Strasse, Dresden, Germany. Dec. 8, 1933,No. 34590. [Class 94 (i).] In order to form a package with a tearing strip to facilitate opening, the wrapper 3 is applied with its edges 4 pasted to the article 1, and exceeds the size of the article so as to leave a surplus 5. The surplus is pushed by folders 6 towards one of the edges of the article to form a fold 7, which is then turned downwards to lie flat. The ends of the wrapper are now folded down, and the fold 7 is accessible at the side for opening purposes. The wrapper may be slit to facilitate end folding. When the article to be wrapped is a package having a closure at 2, the fold 7 is made adjacent thereto.
