Abstract

413,994. Vehicle lamps. STEWART, F. J. W., 20, Sandileigh Avenue, Hale, Cheshire. Feb. 16, 1934, No. 5133. [Class 75 (iv).] Mounting electric lamps in lanters.-In a vehicle lamp with a movable mount for the electric lamp bulb 3 and a rear closure means 12 which makes a bayonet-joint connection with the casing 1 and is in spring connection with the movable mount, a packing 7 carried by the mount is provided between the mount and the tube 9 acting as bearing for it. The bulb holder 4 is carried by a mount comprising a pair of plates connected by screw-headed rods 6 and the packing 7 is of lubricant-absorbent material. A ring 8 prevents the packing from bulging inwardly. The bulb mount is operated by a cable 10. The spring 11 may be surrounded by a flexible sleeve, as described in Specification 401,973.
