Abstract

411,454. Sliding -doors ; draughtexcluders. EMONDS, M., 3, An der Eiche, Cologne, Germany. Dec. 6, 1932, No. 34547. [Class 20 (iii).] A hanger for a sliding door or window is adapted to provide an adjustment in and at right-angles to the plane of the door. The screwed bolt 5 on which the door is carried is supported by a recessed head 11 in a transverse slot in the box-shaped member 21 which is secured to the roller carriage 23. The head 11 is adjusted transversely by a pin 16 on a member 19 movable by a screw 18 at one end and held at the opposite end by a pin 20, Fig. 1. The transverse adjustment may also be effected by a single screw engaging the pin 16. The bottom track may consist of an U- shaped track 53, Fig. 3, having double ends 55, 56 engaged by ball races of H-section on the doors. Draughtexcluders for application to the vertical edges of the doors may comprise fringed fabric held on one or both sides between the bent extensions of two U-shaped members 27, 28, Fig. 6. A rubber stop may be provided comprising a two-part clip 35, 37, Fig. 11, secured to the top rail and holding the reduced end of the stop in a tubular extension of the part 35.
