Nov. 26, 1932, No. 33504. [Class 120 (ii).] A braking-device for use withswifts, bobbins, and the like, of the type in which an adjustable clip embraces the axle or barrel and is prevented from rotating, comprises a bow-shaped spring steel clip a which embraces the axle d and one jaw of which is formed into or has attached a toothed sector f whilst the other jaw j is adapted to engage the serrations. The clip may be lined with leather or the likek, preferably formed as a loop and attached only by its ends.
