Abstract
410,287. Electric clocks. ROBINSON, P. J., The Cove, Uppingham Road, West Derby, Liverpool, and HUCKLE, A. J., Parkside, Knowsley, Prescot, Lancashire. March 31, 1933, No. 5269. [Class 139.] The reduction gearing of a synchronous motor clock includes worm, spur and bevel gearing. The rotor spindle e has freely mounted thereon a flywheel g to which it is connected by a spring g<1>, and drives through worm gearing m, n and spur gearing p, q a shaft r which drives the minute hand arbor h through worm gearing s, t, and the seconds hand arbor l through bevel gearing u, v. The hour hand j is driven from the spindle h through the usual spur gearing w, x, y, z and the worm wheel t is frictionally mounted on the arbor h to allow setting of the hands j, j<1> by turning a knob h<1>. The seconds hand j<2> may, alternatively, be mounted on a sleeve concentric with spindle h and driven from the spindle l through spur gearing.
