Abstract

409,611. Roller - and - breast mills. ATELIERS J. HANREZ SOC. ANON., Monceau-sur-Sambre, Belgium. Nov. 20, 1933, No. 32340. Convention date, Nov. 22, 1932. [Class 59.] In a grinding mill having one or more cylinders and grinding and scraping bars arranged in a closed casing, the scraping bar is arranged at the lower part of the grinding cylinder above a collecting device housed in an airtight chamber. As shown the casing c and hopper s enclose the roller a which is vertically adjustable, the bearings being provided with side plates to form an airseal with the pedestal. The grinding bar g is inserted in a recess formed by the junction of the casing c and hopper s and is adjustable externally of the casing. A vertical scraper m is pivoted on a bar o and is pressed against the roller by a spring p. A partition c<2> reduces the air space inside the main casing and is provided with a door q for the insertion of a container. A window r is formed in the casing and the hopper is closed by a cover t. The roller and/or scraper may be reciprocated.
