Abstract

409,108. Retractive switches. CLARK, C. F., Shalimar, Green Lane, Worcester Park, Surrey. Feb. 18, 1933, No. 5056. [Class 38 (v).] A switch for a direction indicator comprises a T-shaped arm mounted on the steering column of a road vehicle so that the top of the T is adjacent the rim of the steering wheel, the lever being raised for one signal and lowered for the other. The switch comprises a T-shaped lever 1 mounted on the steering column so that the top of the T is parallel with the rim of the steering wheel. The lever is pivoted at 8 and is held in its normal position by springs 5. In operation the lever is either raised with the fingers or depressed with the thumb so that one of the contact studs 3 completes a circuit through the left or right hand terminals 11 to the respective signal. The terminals are centrally sprung at 4.
