Abstract

409,102. Electromagnetic switches. EVERSHED & VIGNOLES, Ltd., NEEDHAM, J. C., and MARCHMENT, W. T., Acton Lane Works, Chiswick, London. Jan. 31, 1933, Nos. 3010/33 and 349/34. [Class 38 (v).] A relay, used in a water level indicator, has two field structures 39, 40, each of which has a pair of inwardly projecting poles, the poles of the two structures being arranged at right angles. Both fields are fed from alternating current and the coil 33 of a plumb-bob 5 is connected in series with one pair of coils. Two armatures 41, 42, rigidly connected together, are provided, the armatures both being laminated whilst the plates of the upper armature 41 are splayed out to give a steady torque over a wide angle.
