Abstract

408,567. Controlling apparatus by light. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. July 8, 1932, No. 19394. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 9, 1932]. [Class 40 (v).] A relay 8 is energized when the light cell 3 is subjected to a predeterminated intensity of illumination, but is not de-energized until the light decreases to a predetermined lower intensity. Preferably the relay actuates a switch 10 to contact with tapping 11 on the coupling resistance 5. Alternatively, the relay may close a circuit for an auxiliary winding on itself, or may energize an auxiliary source of light illuminating the cell.
