433,560. Apparatus for making beverages. BECKINGSALE, E., 90, Basildene Road, Hounslow. April 4, 1934, No. 10169. [Class 129] Electric apparatus for making beverages at a predetermined time comprises a hinged platform 9 supporting the boiler and connected by a rod 15 to one end of a lever 10 pivoted at 11 and weighted at 13. When the water siphons out of the boiler 8, the weighted end of the lever falls and operates a mercury &c. switch 16 to open the circuit of the boiler water by disconnecting the terminals 17, 18. The same movement connects terminals 17, 19 and a small amount passes through a buzzer 24 until the master switch 23 of the heater circuit is opened by hand. When the switch 23 is moved to bridge contacts 26, 27, current passes through a lamp 25 in series with contacts 17, 19. The heater circuit is controlled by the time switch 20.
