Abstract

407,308. Sand-blast. KARMINSKI, M., 30, Rue Boissiere, Paris. June 9, 1932, No. 16328. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, June 10, 1932]. [Class 60.] A nozzle for use in sand-blasting &c. consists of a steel or iron portion 1 having at its delivery end a replaceable ring 2 of tungsten carbide or like hard substance. In a modification, the interior of the main portion of the nozzle is lined with caoutchouc, and in a further modification, Fig. 3, the portion 1 is fitted with a liner 9 of the hard substance, held in position by lead, tin, &c. 7 poured whilst molten through a hole 8, and the ring 6 of hard substance may be bevelled to facilitate fixing.
