Abstract
406,951. Making cores for dynamoelectric machines. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Underwood, L. E. ; Pittsfield, Massachusetts, U.S.A.) Oct. 18, 1933, No. 28850. Convention date, Oct. 26, 1932. [Class 83 (ii).] A core for a dynamo-electric machine is formed from a strip 4 by a continuous process comprising punching slots in the margin of the strip by an intermittently operating punch 5 and coiling the strip edgewise on a mandrel 11 by tapered rollers 8. A weighted tension roller 17 is fitted.
