406,551. Methods of generating steam. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. June 26, 1933, No. 18200. Convention date, June 24, 1932. [Class 123 (ii).] In a steam generator in which water is circulated through the evaporating elements 5 by a pump 2 in considerable excess, and the mixture of steam and water from the elements flow at high velocity into a separator 7, the separator has means such as baffles 11 for checking the rotation of the separated water and allowing it to collect with a free and undisturbed surface, from which the working of the generator is regulated. The separated water may flow through a perforated sleeve spaced from the wall of the separator.
