Abstract

406,387. Insulators. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allgemeine Elektrioitats-Ges. ; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Sept. 6, 1932, No. 24851. Convention date, Sept. 10, 1931. [Class 36.] In porcelain and like insulators the parts of which are attached to each other or to metal by means of cement, the surface of the cement is protected from weather and oil by spraying with metal. Zinc, which adheres well to cement, may be employed and further protected by a sprayed-on coating of copper, or by varnish.
