Abstract

406,202. Sewing - machines. FAIRWEATHER, W. C., 65, Chancery Lane, London.-(Singer Manufacturing Co. ; Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S.A.) July 25, 1933, No. 20906. [Class 112.] A take-up comprises two oscillating levers 35, 45, which approach to and recede from the main-shaft 12 together. The levers are pivoted at 29, 41 and are oscillated by sliding connectors 38, 49 pivoted on a crank disc 25. The take-up is used with a plurality of separately tensioned needle-threads. Lubricating.-Lubricant flows from a reservoir 60, through a channel 63 to the needle-bar crank-pin 15. The excess from the bearing 13 flows through a channel 66 to a reservoir 67 from which wicks lead to the sliding connectors.
