405,787. Hydraulic transmission of power. GARDNER, A. F., Synott Street, Werribee, Victoria, Australia. Jan. 3, 1933, No. 149. Convention date, Nov. 7, 1932. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 8, 1933.] [Class 69 (ii).] Hydraulic power transmission apparatus comprises a number of gearwheel pumps 11 concentrically arranged in a casing 10 on the driven shaft and geared to a sunwheel 13 on the driving shaft. Each pump casing has an inlet 21 and outlet 24 connected to a valve cylinder 25 connected to the interior of the casing 10 by its open inner end and a port 26. Valve plungers 27 are simultaneously operated to control the pump inlets or outlets, or leave both fully open. The driven shaft is provided with reversing gearing, which may comprise clutches.
