[Class 78 (i).] A supporting frame for an endless-belt conveyer comprises tubular longitudinal members 1 which serve also as conduits for feeding fluid under pressure to apparatus driven thereby. As shown in Fig. 2, the members 1 are clamped within sockets 2 integral with supports which carry the rollers 3, 4. The conduits at each side may carry the same or different fluids, e.g. water and air ; where water is carried, sprinklers 9 may be incorporated for sprinkling the material carried by the conveyer. Side tappings with cocks 8 may be provided for supplying various pieces of apparatus. In cases where the same fluid is carried at both sides, the conduits may be interconnected at the ends and intermediately. Each section 1 may be connected to the adjoining ones by flexible or inflexible joints. In a modification, Fig. 8, the supporting frames 15 for the rollers carry short integral pipe sections 16 with provision at 19 for side tappings, these sections being flexibly connected to the sections 1. Sockets 20, 22 are provided to carry respectively side guards 21. for the upper run and cover plates 23 for the lower run. In this system intermediate roller-carrying or other supports may be provided in which the sections 16 are replaced by supports for the sections 1. The roller-carrying supports may carry also rails for a carriage on which may be mounted, for example, the motor driving the conveyer, in cases where it is necessary to transport this from one end of the conveyer to the other ; in some cases the guards 21 on the members 1 themselves may serve as such rails.
