405,590. Safety razors. ASTROM, C. B., Domnarvet, Sweden. Oct. 5, 1933, No. 27458. Convention date, Oct. 8, 1932. [Class 30.] A rigid razor blade 1 which is clamped to a guard plate 2 by a bolt 4, has, in the back edge, a slot 1f which ends in a conical recess 1h accommodating the conical head 4a of the bolt 4. The guard 2 has turned up projections 8 engaging recesses 1e in the blade, and the sides 7 are curved so that, when the nut 6 on the bolt 4 is slightly unscrewed, the blade can be easily gripped and slid out of its position. The straight edges 1j of the slot 1f may be bevelled, and the head 4a may be extended to engage the edges 1j.
