405,578. Refrigerating. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. Sept. 15, 1933, No. 25581. Convention date, Sept. 19, 1932. Addition to 385,928. [Class 29.] Vacuum systems.-In a totally enclosed refrigerating-machine in which the motor space is under liquefier pressure and the compressor housing is under evaporator pressure, according to the parent Specification, the motor is housed in a space which is also under evaporator pressure, the internal space of the motor, which contains the windings, only being under condenser pressure. The housing 32 containing the compressor 9 and the motor 8 communicates with the evaporator 3 through an opening 31. The interior of the motor casing communicates with the condenser 2 through conduits 13, 14, and is sealed from the space 32 under evaporator pressure by enclosing the motor shaft in a stuffing box.
