[Class 126.] Hollow imitation fuel elements formed of moulded synthetic resin are secured to an open frame 12 to form an independent unitary structure which may be mounted in a readily removable manner in or on the body of the imitation fire. As shown, the elements may be provided with inwardly-extending attachment lugs 14, 15, or the like. The frame may have an irregular outline conforming to the configuration of the elements and may be bent as at 20 to provide overlapping front and rear sets of elements 17, 18. Some of the fuel elements may be of the same form, but differently posed in the fire. The inner sides of the front elements 17 are bright to reflect light on to the rear fuel members. The elements are mounted above a screen 26 of coloured celluloid, &c., the under-surface of which may be dull or frosted and which is held in a frame 30. The screen may be provided with holes behind the fuel elements, with patches of imitation ash, and may be parti-coloured. Patches of imitation ash may also be provided on the fuel elements, and the elements may be translucent and coloured. The reflecting internal surfaces of the elements may be coloured, and reflectors may be fitted in the elements. Specification 404,302 is referred to.
