Abstract
695,747. Reflex reflectors. GOWSHALL, B. May 22, 1952 [May 22, 1951], No. 11909/51. Class 97 (i). [Also in Group XVIII] A centrally apertured reflector of glass or transparent plastic has a recessed rear face which is provided with a prismatic, lenticular or silvered reflecting surface, a centrally located boss 12 being provided on the rear face which projects from the face a lesser distance than the rear peripheral portion 5 of the reflector. This construction ensures that the reflecting surface is protected from the weather when it is secured to a surface by a screw or rivet through the central aperture. The rear surface may have prismatic reflectors or be silvered or both the front and rear surfaces may be of lenticular formation. The rim 5 may be sealed to the supporting surface by adhesive.
