Abstract

770,464. Reflex reflectors. BATTERSBY D. J. Aug. 9, 1955 [Aug. 10, 1954], No. 23171/54. Class 97(1) [Also in Group XI] In a vehicle lamp comprising a rigid lamp base 10, a wedge shaped resilient mounting base 21 adapted to fit against a surface of a vehicle and a hollow transparent cover 13 (see Group XI), a reflector 17 for reflecting light from another vehicle is formed integrally with the cover but preferably comprises a separate glass or plastic disc having prismatic facets on its inner face and held in a recess in the cover at a small angle to the plane of the rear edge thereof. The cover is detachably secured to the rigid lamp base 10 which is held against the wedge shaped mounting base 21, the engaging parts of the lamp base 10 and mounting base 21 being symmetrical about a median horizontal plane so that they can be reversed with respect to each other to alter the angle between the reflector and the surface of the vehicle.
