Abstract
404,529. Boxes. KREIDER, G. R., c/o. Lebanon Paper Box Co., Lebanon, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. May 18, 1933, No. 14425. Convention date, July 1, 1932. [Class 18.] A box comprises a continuous side wall a an end wall b and a wrap sheet c having slits 10 in its periphery defining tabs 11 which are secured to the wall b in overlapping relationship; the box may be completed by a strip d which covers the tabs 11 and is folded over the top edge 14 of the box. In the case of a straight sided box each tab may be of sufficient size to cover a complete wall and be secured to the inside face thereof. The end wall may be inset in the body and seated upon a ring of glue on the inside of the side wall or walls, the wrap sheet then being secured to the inside of the extending rim of the box as well as to the outside of the side wall or walls. A padding may be secured to the end wall and the central part of the wrap sheet glued thereto and to the part of the end wall not covered with the padding. A box may comprise a tubular body portion and a cover and an end closure each formed as described above, the end closure being secured within the body portion and the cover fitting over the top thereof. The box may be of elliptical, oval, heart, concave, convex or irregular shape.
